Abstract: |
Placing flags on the lunar surface is of great significance for human exploration of the universe. This article uses the discrete element and finite element methods to numerically analyze the manual placing process of a flag.Firstly,a discrete element model of lunar soil,a finite element model of the flagpole, and a discrete element and finite element coupling model of the interaction between the lunar soil and the flagpole are established; Then the structure of the flagpole is optimized to improve its stability. Finally, three different flag insertion methods are proposed and the dynamic characteristics of the flagpole under different insertion methods are studied. The research results indicate that the discrete element and finite element coupling algorithm is effective in simulating the process of placing a flag on the lunar surface; The sharpness of the tip at the flagpole bottom has a significant effect on the insertion process.Choosing an appropriate sharpness is beneficial for increasing the insertion depth of the flagpole, and a reasonable design of the stable support fork angle is beneficial for increasing the depth of the flagpole entering the lunar surface, which is conducive to the stability of the flagpole.Increasing the axial force is beneficial for directly inserting the flagpole into the soil depth in the method;Increasing the knocking force and frequency is beneficial for increasing the penetration depth of the flagpole in the knocking insertion method. The rotation speed and frequency have little effect on the insertion process in the rotation insertion method. The above research provides an effective solution and reference for manually placing a flag on the lunar surface. |
