Abstract:
An air-supported membrane structure is a typical flexible structure with strong nonlinearity, which is ensured with sufficient stiffness and stability by laying a cable network. In this paper, firstly,we conducted experimental research on air-supported membrane structures with different cable nets under different internal pressures through scaled-down tests, and analyzed the influence of the internal pressure on the magnitude of the cable force;Secondly,we established the same model as the tested structure through Ansys software, and verified the accuracy of the numerical simulation method by comparing and analyzing the results; Finally,we established an actual engineering model to study the displacement and stress distribution of the membrane surface under different internal pressures and height-to-span ratios to determine a reasonable height-to-span ratio of the structure, and to conduct a comparative analysis of the maximum stress and displacement of the structure under different internal pressures under two cable network arrangements. The results show that the diagonal cable network effectively restricts the displacement of the structure and improves the stress performance of the membrane surface, which can provide a reference basis for future engineering design.
