Abstract:
The mechanism of mode localization is described quantitatively using the degree of mistuning, the mode density and mode assurance criterion based on the perturbation theory. The feasibility of this method is verified by a 26-degree-of-freedom spring-mass system. Then the finite element model of wind turbine blades is established by ANSYS software, and four mistuning cases are simulated by changing the density and elastic modulus of material. The study proves that small mistuning of stiffness and mass has great impacts on the modes of wind turbine blades.Meanwhile,a new factor is proposed to quantitatively measure the degree of mode localization of the wind turbine blades. Finally, the composition of mistuning modes which is constituted by harmonic mode are analyzed.Research shows that the more complex the composition of mistuning modes, the stronger the degree of mode localization.
