Abstract: |
Damping performance of a frame structure with viscoelastic dampers is studied, influence of the damping parameter on its seismic performance is analyzed, and the calculation method of the seismic action of the structure is presented in this paper. The Fourier transform is applied to the vibration equation of the frame structure with viscoelastic damper, the frequency domain solution of the vibration equation is solved, and the time domain solution of the equation is obtained by inverse Fourier transform, from which the effect of damping coefficient Cd and relaxation time coefficient η of the damper on the seismic response of the structure is analyzed. On this basis,a practical formula for calculating the economic distribution of the damping coefficient of viscoelastic dampers on each floor is proposed. In addition, the calculation method for the seismic action of the frame structure with viscoelastic dampers is given. From this, the seismic action of each floor and the bottom shear force of each vibration mode of the structure are analyzed, which indicates that the relaxation time coefficient η≤ 0.5~0.7 of the dampers installed in the frame structure should be controlled. |
