Abstract:
The finite element model for cutting natural gas hydrate sediments was established according to the structure and working principle for the cutter head and the physical properties of the gas hydrate sediments.ANSYS/LS-DYNA simulation software and the Drucker-Prager material model were used to simulate the cuttings of the gas Hydrate sediment, and analyse the stress characteristics of the cutter in horizontal direction, vertical direction and rotation direction during the cutting process. The main working parameters, such as traverse rate, rotational speed, down angle and cutting interval angle was simulated. The results show that increasing the traverse rate will increase the force in the three directions of the cutter. The increase of the rotational speed will reduce the cutting force, but the reduction rate of the cutting force decreases with the increase of the rotational speed. The increase of the cutter angle will increase the axial force of the cutter and affect the smoothness of the mining truck. With the increase of the cutting interval angle, the X-axis force increases first and then decreases.Using a larger cutting interval angle can improve the cutting efficiency and the stability of mining vehicles.
