Abstract:
Due to the high specific strength and stiffness, stiffened shells have been widely used in the high-end equipment of launch vehicles, missiles, aircraft and submarines.Because of their increasing sizes and loads of these equipment, the dimensions of stiffened shells used become larger and larger, and corresponding manufacturing processes and structural characteristics become more and more complicated. In this case, higher requirements are put forward for increasing the analysis fidelity of the structure optimization, developing innovative lightweight structural configurations and improving the prediction accuracy of the mechanical properties. Therefore,it will challenge the nonlinear analysis methods, mathematical modeling of optimization problems and optimization algorithms for complex plates and shells. This study reviews the stability analysis method of stiffened shells, the solution methods of knockdown factors, and designs of stiffened shells considering geometrical imperfections, and the research progress of related studies at home and abroad.
