Influence of loading door depression on tunnel pressure wave of freight trains |

Abstract: |
With the development of technology and economic in China,e-commerce industry develops rapidly,which leads to the great need for freight EMUs.The numerical investigation of train crossing waves induced by two freight EMUs passing by each other in a tunnel was performed by using the Shear-Stress Transport(SST)turbulence model in a CFD code STAR-CCM+ adopting the overset gird method,which is based on the finite volume method(FVM).The present work was to study the influence of the loading structure of the vehicle body structure on the pressure wave in the tunnel.The accuracy of the numerical simulation method was validated by the test results of real vehicles.It is concluded that the loading door depression of the freight car group has an influence on the pressure wave in the tunnel.The recessed loading door increases the maximum positive pressure at the straight body by about 20% to 30%,and there is a significant difference between the maximum positive pressure value and the maximum negative pressure value at the center of the loading door. |
