Abstract:
      A modified MPS method for solving the pressure oscillation problem in the traditional MPS method is dveloped.The modified MPS method includes a new discretization scheme of Pressure Poisson equation.In the choice of kernel function,the quadratic spline kernel function is selected to stabilize the pressure.A practical technique is proposed to deal with the lack of interpolation completeness in the traditional MPS method.The dam break problem is simulated firstly to verify the modified MPS method,and the results show that a smoothed spatial pressure distribution is obtained.The pressure at the monitor is consistent with the experimental value and pressure fluctuation is suppressed.The hydrostatic problem is also investigated,and the results show that the pressure at the monitoring points is consistent with the theoretical solution and pressure oscillation is suppressed.This modified MPS method has important applications for obtaining stable pressure values in engineering problems.
