Abstract:
      The conventional surface particle detection method based on the particle number density would lead to the misjudgement of surface particles.To address this issue,this paper proposes a new surface particle tracking method combining geometrical and volumetric principles.Through numerical simulation of dam break,the new surface particles tracking method achieves very good results in both smooth movement fluid and strenuous movement fluid.The simulation results show that this new method is effective in control of surface particle misjudgement,and the issue of misjudgement of surface particles based on the particle number density is solved.This new surface particle detection method has important implications for interfacial heat and mass transfer calculation in two-phase flow problems.
