Abstract:
The vibration control approaches of uncertain parameter systems were investigated.Based on inclusion principle, a large-scale structure is divided into a set of substructures.Combining the over-lapping decentralized control strategy with the guaranteed cost control algorithm, an overlapping decentralized guaranteed cost control algorithm was proposed for uncertain parameter structural systems. The presented method can be used to resolve the vibration control of structures with uncertain parameters under earthquake excitation. It was applied to vibration control of the ASCE 20-story benchmark building model under earthquake excitation and compared with the centralized guaranteed cost vibration control approach. The numerical simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively inhibit the seismic response of the structure when it has modeling uncertainties or when itself has uncertainties, and ensures the reliability and stability of the control system. The proposed overlapping decentralized guaranteed cost control algorithm provides satisfactory control performance and is suitable for the vibration control strategy of large-scale engineering structures.
