Abstract:
The electromagnetic coupling effects on scattering parameters of multi-period metamaterial structure cells is studied;and it is shown that the uniformity of metamaterial structure is a key factor of the electromagnetic coupling effects.Based on non-uniformity of middle cells,a five-layer model is established to predict scattering performance of metamaterial structure complex cells through a decoupling of electromagnetic parameters from edge cells, middle cells and core cells, just like peeling an onion. The numerical simulations verify accuracy and high effectiveness of the five-layer model.
