Abstract: |
Aimed at the flow and mechanical behavior of granular materials in silos,the discrete element models are built on a silo and its storage granular material using DEM software PFC3D.The mechanical model and solving steps are briefly covered,and the flow pattern of granular materials in silos is simulated.By studying the lateral pressure,particles velocity field and contact force field,the flow mechanical behavior influencing factors of friction coefficient,angle of inclination and discharging pore size are mainly discussed,aiming at the hoppers of silos.Results show that the granular material flow pattern in deep silos is a mixed pattern of overall flow and pipe flow.The friction coefficient,angle of inclination and discharging pore size have significant effects on the flow pattern and lateral pressure. |
