Abstract:
To solve numerical simulation of partially-restrained (PR) steel frame with concealed vertical slit reinforced concrete (RC) infill walls (PSRCW) in the engineering design stage,a simplified compo-site inclined strut hysteretic model was proposed based on the experimental phenomena, the cracks distribution of RC infill wall, and the transferring mechanism of PSRCW.The simplified composite inclined strut hysteretic model of concealed vertical slit RC infill wall was simulated via two parts. The main diagonal inclined strut was used to reflect the transferring lateral force by the contribution of the thickness of concealed vertical slits. The wall-column part was to simulate the mechanical behavior of slit walls. The effective width of the main diagonal inclined strut was deduced through the internal mechanism of the concealed vertical slit RC infill walls, and the cyclic restored force model of the main diagonal inclined strut was deduced based on the stress vs.strain relationship curves of concrete. In addition, the comparison between the results of calculation using the composite inclined strut hysteretic model and those of corresponding tests showed good agreement.
