Abstract:
Ice force is an important factor which affects the operating safety of jacket platform structure and its equipment.According to the dynamic interaction process between sea ice and offshore structure, the discrete element method (DEM) is employed to analyze the breaking process of sea ice,and the finite element method (FEM) is used to simulate the dynamic response of jacket platform.Considering the interaction between sea ice and jacket platform, the DEM-FEM numerical method is proposed to analyze the ice-induced vibration of jacket platform and the dynamic ice loads.
