Abstract:
The characteristics of fluid-solid interaction under low flow velocity(2.5 m/s~15 m/s)was numerically simulated by dynamic mesh model basing on three dimensional-two way coupling method. The present paper discussed characteristic values of lift coefficient, frequency of vortex shedding and the ampitude of the cylinder. The phenomenon of "lock-in" and "beat" was captured. The VIV of two-dimensional of fluid-solid interaction of triangular prism was discussed in this paper, the result was compared to the three dimensional model in this paper. The results showed that the amplitude of lift coefficient, frequency of vortex shedding and strouhal number of three-dimensional model is lower than those of the two dimensional.
