Abstract:
Using tensor invariant theory, some basic issues of pressure strain correlation term are discussed when used for rotating turbulence simulation.Under rotation, the evolution of Reynolds stress tensor in initial anisotropic turbulence described by conventional model is an undamped oscillation process. But the analysis results of rapid distortion theory shows the evolution should be a damped osci-llation process.Aiming at damping Reynolds stress, high order rate-of-rotation tensor related term is built. Then with the combination of the high order strain rate tensor, application of correction model is expanded to elliptic flow.Ultimately, correction model is applied to the flow field simulation in axially rotating pipe, and the results are compared with measured results.
