Abstract: |
In this paper, a mathematical model is presented for studying on the thermal stability of liquid jet under supercavitation.The mathematical model and its solving method are verified by the data in literature, and then the influences of temperature differences between jet and surrounding gas on the stability of liquid jet are investigated mainly.The results show that the temperature difference makes liquid jet more unstable, widens the range of wave numbers and increases the degree of widening range, while the effect of temperature disturbance on the stability of liquid jet has little relationship with disturbance modes.Not only does the temperature disturbance weaken the effect of supercavitation on the stability of liquid jet, but also it is likely to fully restrain the effect of supercavitation on the maximum wave number of disturbance wave.However, supercavitation makes the maximum wave number bigger again when supercavitation reaches a certain value. |
