Abstract:
      In this paper,the equivalent orthotropic elastic constants of the sandwich plate with a second order hierarchical corrugated core were studied.First,the strut of a sandwich plate with a triangle core was equivalent to an orthotropic solid.Then,the second order hierarchical corrugated structure is viewed as a sandwich plate with a triangle truss-core,which is made of an orthotropic solid and is also equivalent to an orthotropic plate.The equivalent orthotropic elastic constants of structure with the second order hierarchical corrugated core were obtained by the equivalent deformation.Finally,the error distribution of the equivalent formula was discussed with respect to the geometrical parameter.Comparison with the results by FEM showed that the proposed equivalent formula has satisfying accuracy.
