Abstract:
The selection of water injector greatly influenced water injection processes of oil field. To analyze the downhole well bore pressure and flow rate in the injection process precisely, a new well treatment model has been proposed, which considered the influence of throttle pressure loss. By this means, the response of down hole well bore pressure and flow rate in the process of water injection have been surveyed by the coupled solution of downhole well bore pressure, flow rate and reservoir fluids dynamics. The computational results indicate that numerical simulation would cause deviation without considering the influence of throttle pressure loss. By using different throttles, simulations under the same reservoir conditions showed that when initial injection flow rate is constant, smaller throttles have better smoothing effect on injection flow rate than larger throttles. When throttle diameter is constant, permeability is the main factor which will influence the response of injection flow rate.
