Abstract:
      In this paper, a fast precise integration method (FPIM) for computing the dynamic responses of large-scale structural systems has been proposed. By using the sparse property of system matrix and especially the physical nature of the system, the special structure of matrix exponential was given, then a fast algorithm for computing matrix exponential and the dynamic responses of large-scale structural systems was proposed. The numerical examples illustrate that the proposed method is fast and accurate.
