Abstract: |
Based on the theory of shallow water wave, a theoretical model is established for calculating perturbation velocity close to bottom caused by ship moving at subcritical and supercritical speed. Variation laws and distribution features about perturbation velocity are revealed by numerical simulation. A measuring system on perturbation velocity is developed, and perturbation velocity induced by a towed ship model is measured. By comparing the calculated results with experimental ones, transverse velocity components agree approximately, and longitudinal velocity components agree qualitatively. Theoretical and experimental studies show that the evident variation laws exist for ship’s longitudinal passing feature curve, a new technology is presented for ship’s underwater detection and identification as well as location. |
