Abstract:
It is very important to determine the location of the free surface in non-pressure seepage analysis. By applying radial integration method (RIM) to seepage problems, domain integrals are directly transformed into boundary integrals and, therefore, the drawback of traditional boundary element method in solving non-homogeneous problems can be overcome. An iterative computer program has been developed, using which the process of handwork iteration is avoided. 2D and 3D numerical examples are given to demonstrate the reliability of the proposed algorithm.
