Abstract:
Reservoirs usually have complex boundaries due to the tectonic effect. In this paper, a mathematic model for description of flow into horizontal wells has been constructed; Furthermore, basic solutions of boundary elements have been acquired by combination of Lord Kelvin point-source solution, the integral of Bessel function and Poisson superimpose formula for reservoirs with complex boundaries. Meanwhile, a mathematic for botoom-hole pressure response of horizontal wells in reservoir with complex boundaries has also been set up based on the theory of boundary element. By solving this model, type curves of dimensionless pressure and pressure derivative were created. Therefore, flow characteristics of horizontal wells in complex boundary reservoirs and relevant factors can be analyzed using the results of this paper.
