Abstract:
      The equivalent linear computational analysis method based on combination of restrained mode synthesis method and direct modal perturbation solution for 3D seismic response analysis of complicated site soil is proposed. The application of the principle of direct modal perturbation has the advantages,i.e., simplification of the mode analysis process of each substructures and transforming the solution of eigenvalue problem to the solution of nonlinear algebraic equation. Then the computational efficiency is improved effectively. Results of numerical examples show that the modified method can obviously increase computational efficiency of earthquake response analysis of the large-scale complicated site soil.
