Abstract:
Computational structural dynamics(CSD) and Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) referring to aeroelasticity are highly nonlinear problems in the time domain, the data information transfer between the different disciplines plays a crucial role in coupling system. In this study,a new interpolation method, named as Interface Mapping Matrix(IMM) based on CVT(conservation volume transformation) is developed to match the two grid systems. This method only needs the local grid information, and can transform structural displacements and aerodynamic loads by one matrix and its transpose which can be used universally in Fluid Structural Interaction case.Consequently,it can overcome requirement of a huge amount of CPU time and memory. The results for static aeroelasticity test of flexible high aspect ratio wing and flutter prediction of AGARD445.6 wing illustrate that the method can transform information in efficient and accurate way,and it is able to deal with more irregular and complex geometries.
