Abstract:
Structural dynamic reanalysis plays an important part in structure vibration control, dynamic characteristic design and optimization.By combing vector-valued rational approximation with truncated Taylor expansion based on substructure sensitivity analysis,a novel method for structure dynamic reanalysis is presented in this paper.By using the technology of substructure mode synthesis, both the number of DOF and cost of computation are significantly reduced.Another novelty of the approach is that it can be used to efficiently handle reanalysis of structures with large modification due to the vector valued rational approximation combined with truncated Taylor Expansion.A numerical example of a square thin plate is provided to demonstrate the method.Comparison of the results with exact solutions obtained via a full reanalysis of the whole structure shows the proposed formulation can yield high-fidelity approximations that are sufficiently adequate for solving most re-analysis problems.
