Abstract:
      In order to investigate the stress level and distribution of stream line-type steel box girder,Runyang cable-stayed bridge(RCB) is taken as an example in the paper.The whole structural finite element(FE) model and submodel of the steel box girder are established,respectively.After FE analysis for the whole structural model,the stress of key sections of the steel box girder is analyzed with the submodel method.The analysis results are verified by the measurements from the site tests.The stress level and distribution of the key sections are then studied,and the mechanical characteristic of flat steel box girder of RCB is further studied.In addition,the measurements verify the effectiveness and reliability of submodel method on stress analysis of steel box girder.The analysis results in the paper can be used for reference in for safety monitoring of steel box girder of RCB.
