Abstract:
When the nonstaggered grid was applied to the calculation of ordinary flow, the momentum interpolation method could eliminate the possible pressure wiggles. But in the calculation of complicated flow around the bluff body, such as the wind flow around buildings, the possible small wiggles still appeared on the convergent pressure field when the above method was adopted alone. In order to eliminate the small wiggles when nonstaggered grid was used, except for the use of the momentum interpolation method,a new method was proposed and applied at the same time.In the new method,a pressure-gradient difference term was added to the flow velocity in each control-volume interface when dealing with the mass source in pressure-correction equation.Through the evaluation and analysis,it reveals that this method overcomes the problem of pressure wiggles in the numerical simulation of wind pressure around buildings completely, and the calculational results agree with the test results.
