Abstract:
In the final stages of interceptor trajectories, the shroud covers shall be deployed resulting in the change of aerodynamic force which will have effect on the guidance precision of missile. Two-dimensional simulations about the separation of the interceptor missile shroud covers have been completed using moving multi-block chimera structure grid technique. Locations of the shroud covers and the pressure contour of the flow field at each time step during the separation process were described. Computational simulations predict the relevant flow features of acoustic loads resulting from separation and pressure oscillations at each trace location primarily driven by the oscillations of the bow shock. The influence of the flow field on the infrared window was also predicted in the simulations.
