This paper discusses the theory and approach of the two methods in detail.The numerical test of one-cylinder and tow-cylinder movement is conducted through the two methods.By comparison,we conclude that the efficiency of overlap grid method is higher than moving mesh method;the overlap grid method is more suitable to solve the problem of moving body with large displacement;the advantage of the overlap grid method is more distinct when the shape of the computation domain is complex.
