| It is well-known that a spherical shell may not stay spherical after eversion and it may prefer to adopt awrinkled configuration.In this case,a bifurcation solution occur.In this paper,WKB method was used to ana-lyse the buckling of an everted Varga spherical shell of incompressible,isotropic hyper-elastic material.ForA-B=O(1)a si mple asymptotic expression is obtained for the critical ratio of the inner radius to the outer radiuswith the mode number large enough.The analytical results perfectly coincide with the numerical results over al-most the whole mode-number regin. |
