Abstract:
      A modified mathematical model as well as a modified iterative pattern for topology optimization of linear elastic continuum is proposed based on RAMP (Rational Approximation of Material properties) interpolation scheme and the Optimality Criteria Method,where minimization compliance is regarded as the objective.Numerical instabilities,such as checkerboards and mesh dependencies,are also surveyed and investigated.Considering the undesirable numerical side effects when the sensitivity filtering method is applied,a new hybrid filtering method is presented,which can improve side effects and eliminate numerical problems effectively.The methodologies for topological optimization presented in this paper are programmed using FORTRAN.To substantiate the efficiency of these methods adopted in this paper,illustrated examples are presented both for verification and application.
