Abstract:
Low permeability flow and Bingham flow are the two typical porous flow related to start-up pressure gradients. In this paper, the mathematical model of fluid flow in porous media related to start-up pressure gradients is established. The control equations, initial conditions and boundary conditions are given in dimensionless representation. Subsequently, meshless methods are employed to simulate these problems and numerical results are obtained. Gringarten-Bourdet graphs are used to analyze the well-bottom pressure in different boundary conditions. To study the propagation of moving-boundary, a method to determine the position of moving-boundary is presented and the propagation curves of moving-boundary with different parameters are discussed.
