Abstract:
In this paper, the two-scale FE algorithms are presented for predicting the mechanical parameters of the composite materials with periodic configuration, and the mechanical parameters of some 3D braided composites are evaluated. The main work includes model establishing, theoretical analysis, numerical computation and result analysis. Some numerical results generated by algorithms here are compared with the results from mechanical experiments.Mechanical behaviors of braided composites depend not only on its basic composition, but also on the detailed configurations.By the numerical analysis on the basic cell models of 3D braided composites with TSA,we can obtain the preview of their macroscopic mechanical behaviors.Algorithms presented here can also be applied to other composites with small periodicity.
