Abstract:
      A calculation model of reinforced concrete coupled shear wall for static elasto-plastic analysis is developed. The model is composed of wall panel element model, coupling beam element model and connecting element model. A macro-model based on finite element method is used to model wall panel elements. According to whether the diagonal shear failure occurs or not, short coupling beam model and long coupling beam model are developed respectively. To account the relative deformation between the coupling beam and the wall panel, the connecting element is modeled by a complex spring. The parameters of the model are provided. Static elasto-plastic analysis of tested coupled shear wall specimens with short coupling beams or long coupling beams are performed, and the analyfical results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
