Abstract:
The cracks in concrete are modeled with different crack models according to their development degrees. Thus, smeared crack model is used for micro|cracks, while discrete crack model is used for macro|ones. The simulation of macro|cracks is simplified with the meshless method, since there is no element mesh needed in it. The shear|resist capacity on macro|cracks surface are estimated correctly by installing interlock elements on the surface, whose constitutive relationships are set|up based on test results. The numerical example shows that this method can simulate the damage process of RC beam failure in diagonal tension. And their precision and numerical stability are higher than those from the traditional finite element method with smeared cracks model.
