| In some engineering problems, some computing models ignore gyroscopic moment. However, the effects of gyroscopic upon the true model, especially, the processional frequency?mode and critical speed for a rotor system are demonstrated by an example in the present paper. The state space method is used to solve the eigenvalue problem. Numerical results show that the gyroscopic effect can not be ignored in some vibration analysis problem. |
