| Considering the synthetic influence of various kinds of loads upon the structures, and from the viewpoints of failure element shift and limit loaded capability, an improvement for the loading form in the original incremental loading method applied in structural reliability analysis has been proposed with the finite element reanalysis technique. In addition, a comparative verification has been made from several numerical examples. The results obtained indicate that the improved incremental loading method has satisfactory accuracy and stability, which can be applied to the reliability analysis of failure modes in the practcal large scale engineering structure system under various kinds of loads. |
