Abstract:
The bounding surfaces of channel whose cross section is p arabolic shape have been simulated conditioning to hard data(observed data) by B ayesian sto chastic simulation. In this paper, an adaptive grid technology has been applied to up scaling method of 3D fluid equations in porous media. Where the permeabili ty or porosity change is abnormity, the fine grid blocks have been automaticall y adopted and the 3D fluid equations in porous media have been solved by direct method. In the other region the nonuniform upscaling method has been adopted, i .e. using fine grid blocks in the high flow regions of the model. Using the met hod, the pressure distribution of channel reservoir has been calculated. The res ults show that the solutions of nonuniform adaptive upscaling method of channel reservoir are approaching well the solutions of adopting fine grid blocks in t he regions the permeability or porosity being abnormity and matching well with the solutions of adopting coarsen grid blocks in the other region, however, the computation speed of adaptive upscaling method is about 100 times more than th at adopting fine grid block method.
