Abstract:
      Some theoretical and experimental achievements of buckling problem of the thin shells are summarized. On basis of study of nonlinear dynamic theorem, a new numerical model for buckling analysis of thin shells has been established, which can be used to describe the buckling process from the static to dynamic states with increasing loads. From the principle of disturbing vibration and resonance response, it can be explained the reason that the experimental value of critical load is lower than theoretical one. An example is also given.
