Abstract:
      Many reservoir engineers have paid close attention to the streamline study. Based on the fundamental solution of steady flow through the infinity reservoir, a boundary element method (BEM) for the potential distribution of steady\|state flow through the media with the complex boundary is developed in this paper. And a streamline\|generating technique and an example are also presented. The advantages of the method are reducting the dimensions of the solving problem and decreasing the calculation workload , being not only more accurate but also having more general applicability, and adapating the solving flow problems in a random shaped porous media with assembly boundaries\|Neumann, Dirichlet, or mixed. The example shows that the streamline distributions can visual display the reservoir fluid's movement tracks between the producers and injectors, an optimum pattern and an injection strategy can be also developed.
