Abstract:
A method of multivariable response for elastic dynamics is presented in the paper. Based on the instantaneous mixed variational principle and the spline interpolate functions, a spline equation of motion is derived. The spline parameter and its derivative are taken as the state variables; the state variable equation is also established. The spline finite element procedure is used for space domain and the state space technique is used for time domain, respectively. Numerical results demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the method. For calculating the problems of multi\|input or multi\|output, time\|invariant or time\|variant, and linear or nonlinear systems, the proposed method has prospective wide applications and developments.
