On basis of the Mises yield condition and the method of weighted residuals, the limit load approximation solutions of clamped supported circular plate under linear distributed load and annular plate with inner boundary supporting under uniform load are given in this paper. Comparing the present results with those obtained from the maximum moment limit condition shows that the present solutions by using proposed method is reasonable.
