Abstract:
      Usually it is very difficult to get an analytical expression of the limit state equation in the reliability analysis for stability of the underground tunnel. Therefore, on basis of a numerical simulation, some methods for response surface restructure are established, which can simulate the reliability problems with the closed\|formed performance function in the practical engineering. The application of the rational polynomial technique and the neural network scheme in response surface method are mainly discussed, and the comparison with the two kinds of response surface methods commonly used is also made. Some analytical results show that the methods have good efficiency and accuracy.
