Abstract: |
A high order accurate upwind compact difference scheme for N-S equations is developed. The heat transfer problems in the flow fields around a blunt body are investigated. The mesh Reynolds number is also analyzed. For the inviscid portion of the N-S equations the flux vectors are split by Stager Warming's flux vectors splitting technique. The flux vectors are approximated by using upwind compact scheme. The centered difference scheme is used for the viscous portion. The numerical solutions indicate that the high order accurate difference scheme is satisfactory. |
