Abstract:
      In this paper, the pseudo excitation method and high precision direct integration scheme are used in the analysis of rotor bearing systems subjected to stationary non-stationary random earthquake excitations. By means of the pseudo excitation method, the stationary random excitations are transformed into harmonic excitations while the non-stationary random excitations are transformed into deterministic transient excitations. So that the analyses are greatly simplified. Even for asymmetric stiffness and damping matrices due to the fluid films, the algorithm proposed is simple, accurate and highly efficient.
