Abstract:
In this paper, a mapping SDTFM (Strip Distributed Transfer Function Method) is developed for analysis of irregular plane based on a modification of SDTFM. In the analysis, an irregular plane is mapped into rectangular subregions, where strip elements are divided. Discrete displacement model is built on the strip elements. Then the dynamic equilibrium equations are derived by variational principle. The equations are solved by the numerical SDTFM, and the static and dynamic responds of the plane are given. At last, computation model is presented, and the results are compared with FEM, which show that this method has the advantage of high precision, unified solution procedure and is easy for dynamic and static analysis of 2-D elasticity problems in regions such as ellipse, quadrilateral.
