The technology of smart structures is significant for the vibration control of large flexible space structures. Although it is usual to actively control the vibration of piezoelectric smart plates by independent modal space control method, the previous solutions are limited to analytical methods. A new design technology of modal sensor and actuator developed in this paper by finite element method, which is suit for the plate with complex shape and boundary conditions. The results of studies verified its validation.
