Abstract:
      It is a new attempt to extend DQM to calculating critical flow velocity of pipe conveying fluid, and based on this the influences of several parameters on the critical velocity is also studied in this paper with an acceptable precision in the numerical results. Compared to other methods, this method can easily deal with the pipe with spring support at its boundaries, and has much less computing efforts due to avoiding a large serie of numerical integcratings,and the much lower the order of the equation to be solved. The paper also demomstrates the successful application of DQM to the problems of pipes conveying fluid.
