Abstract:
      The minimum cost design of casing structures of oil wells is an attractive problem in practical engineering. In this paper, the Fibonacci searching method is used with the relative difference quotient algorithm to give a mixed integer\|discrete method for solving sizing and layout optimization of casing structures and their supports. The proposed method is quite convenient and satisfactory when used to solve structural optimization of casing structures in multiple load cases and constraints and has been applied to practical problems.
